Why this site exists
I've spent more than two decades working across technology, governance and compliance in both the UK and the Middle East.
During that time I've worked in infrastructure, cybersecurity, service management, data governance and regulatory compliance. One lesson has remained consistent: successful organisations are rarely held back by technology alone. More often, the challenge is ownership, accountability and making good decisions consistently.
This site is where I share lessons learned from that journey, along with my DBA research into continuous data governance maturity for Saudi public sector organisations and the wider GCC.
My work today sits across three areas: practice, research and industry engagement.
Practice
I've spent more than two decades working across infrastructure, cybersecurity, service management and governance. Here I share practical lessons learned from real-world programmes, projects and challenges.
Research
My DBA research explores how Saudi public sector organisations can move beyond annual assessments towards continuous data governance maturity management. I document the ideas, challenges and progress along the way
Speaking
I enjoy sharing lessons learned through conferences, workshops and industry events across the UK and the Middle East. Topics include data governance, AI governance and regulatory compliance.
